Our Story, Tiger Theatre Beginnings and Future

International Thespian Society Troupe 919 was founded on October 1, 1996 at A&M Consolidated High School. Our current director, Randall Williamson has been teaching at consol for over 29 years. We hold a fall and spring show in our own Consol Theatre, with almost every aspect of it run and produced by our students. Each year the theatre program competes in 5A UIL One Act Play competition, where we are often recognized for our actors, production team and overall performance. After some time away, in the 2026 academic year we will also be bringing  back our trip to the Thespian Festival. This festival provides opportunities for our students to learn from professional in the field in areas of acting, lighting, costuming, and other theatre technical aspects of production. 

Our student board and other lead student positions, help organize, mentor, and produce each of our performance. This not only helps make our shows happen but teaches students theatrical skills as well as soft skills in communication, leadership, critical thinking, and initiative. We live and breathe theatre, and welcome anyone who is willing to join.

Our Tiger Theatre booster club started in 2025 with a 'grand opening' in fall 2026. The purpose of the booster club is to enhance funding, support student travel, assist with senior day trip, and provide theatre college scholarships. Visit our booster page to learn more and support Tiger Theatre.
